The clinical relevance of luteal phase progesterone support in true natural cycle cryopreserved blastocyst stage embryo transfers: a retrospective cohort study

چکیده
Abstract Background More than 67% of all embryos transferred in the United States involve frozen-thawed embryos. Progesterone supplementation is necessary medicated cycles to luteinize endometrium and prepare it for implantation, but little data available show if this beneficial true natural cycles. We evaluated use luteal phase progesterone cryopreserved/warmed blastocyst transfers not using an ovulatory trigger. Methods Retrospective cohort study a single academic medical center. studied patients undergoing cycle cryopreserved embryo transfers. Our primary outcome measure was ongoing pregnancy rate, with other outcomes being (i.e. implantation miscarriage ectopic multifetal gestation). Categorical were analyzed utilizing Fisher’s exact test binary variables log-binomial regression produce risk ratio. Results Two hundred twenty-nine included analysis 149 receiving 80 no support. Patient demographic characteristics, quality similar between two groups. No difference seen rate (49.0% vs. 47.5%, p = 0.8738), clinical (50.3% 0.7483), positive HCG (62.4% 57.5%, 0.5965), miscarriage/abortion (5.4% 2.5%, 0.2622), (0% 1.3%, 0.3493), or gestations (7.4% 3.8%, 0.3166). Conclusion(s) The addition support did improve therefore routine practice cannot be recommended based on study, utilization should discouraged without further studies. Capsule as does pregnancies.

I-29: Luteal Phase Support in Frozen-Thawed Embryo Transfer Cycle
Cumulative pregnancy rate has been significantly increased since frozen-thawed embryo transfer was applied in ART cycles. This method has become an essential part of IVF/ICSI treatment. Luteal phase support has been proven to be associated with higher rate of live birth rate. Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), and progestrone have been successfully used for luteal phase support in ovarian stim...
متن کاملThe effect of luteal phase progesterone supplementation on natural frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effect of progesterone supplementation during the luteal phase on pregnancy outcome in natural frozen-thawed embyo transfer (FTET) cycles. METHODS In this retrospective cohort study, 228 consecutive patients who underwent FTET cycles between January 2009 and September 2012 were included. One hundred forty-five patients received luteal progesterone support (P group) b...
متن کاملI-29: Can Fresh Embryo Transfers Be Replacedby Cryopreserved-Thawed Embryo Transfers inAssisted Reproductive Cycles? A RandomizedControlled Trial
Background: Controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) has been shown to advance endometrial maturation and affect adversely implantation in assisted reproduction technology (ART) cycles. It has been reported that there is a better embryo-endometrium synchrony in frozenthawed embryo transfer (FET) cycles than fresh embryo transfer (ET) cycles. The Background of this study was to compare ongoing pregn...
متن کاملSingle Day 2 embryo versus blastocyst-stage transfer: a prospective study integrating fresh and frozen embryo transfers.
BACKGROUND Whether extended culture allowing selection of embryos with high development potential has any advantage over cleavage-stage embryo transfer remains a matter of debate. Among the currently unsolved questions, the cumulative delivery rate resulting from fresh and frozen embryo transfers needs to be taken into account in both strategies. The aim of our study was, therefore, to compare ...
